Evie ABCA 304565 8/18/06-10/2816
Our First Red Border Collie Pup

BRE Evie is out of our retired dog Shy. She is a red and white female. Medium coat and size are her physical description, but we value her for her smart, obedient, and loving attributes. Her lines include Brian Abingdon's Reserve National Working Trialdog Champion Cattle dog, Rojo, plus Excellent Hanging Tree and Chrystal Rose Cattledog lines. Her puppies turned on early showing great promise. Her pup s went on to be excellent herding, agility, and companions over the years. We currently have one of her daughters Pearl, she has turned out to be a good dog.
Diamond Sky ABCA 345905
We lost Sky in a tragic car accident Feb 25, 2012.
She was A Tradition that Continued

At her first trial Sky continued to maintain the tradition of her ancestors, at the 2011 Memorial Day, Three Rivers Dog Trial near Ashland, Oregon, Sky was the Combined High Score Winner for her class, Cattle, Sheep, and Ducks.
In January of 2013 we were fortunate enough to acquire Diamond Hoot who is out of Sky's sister as well as Diamond Dot a cousin.

HR ZACK ABCA (2006) Lost Jan 2007

HR Zack was to be our trial dog. Don and Jeanie Helsley of Helsley Ranch in Idaho were Zack's breeders. Don and Jeanie Helsley are good people who we are proud to know. Zack was the best friend one could ask for in a dog. He was easy to train, loved to please, was funny, playful, protective, calm, cool and collected. He showed great promise as our future trail and around the farm herding dog. Zack had the softest coat on him, which somehow dirt did not stick to so he was always a clean dog. Zack loved the time spent grooming as much as he loved working the livestock.
Zena, NASD (2005-2006)

Zena was a gem right from the start. She came to us at just over 5 weeks old. She had spunk, energy, and style. Zena showed great promise. Zena was a calm, easy going, trainable stock dog. We called her Zena, "Zena the Cowdog" with her hair flowing out behind her as she ran, nearly always a happy lop to her run. Zena was a good size dog yet never was she anything but gentle towards her people. When we lost Zena, we held her bawling big alligator tears as she passed over, we lost more than a mere dog we lost a great companion. We cannot say enough about this dog. Tom Linenbrink of LC Ranch, Junction City, Oregon, was Zena's breeder. We are pleased to announce we have added Ring, Zena's litter mate to our lines.
Cheyenne ABCA (retired) rehomed

Shy was flown in from Arkansas as an older dog. She could best be described as cuddle dog always wanting hugs, to lay on our foot not just by your feet, you moved she was right with you always. She could do anything we asked of her. She was as smart, obedient, a joy. Shy was in our breeding program then placed in a forever home. She is now living out her life on a very nice home with a 5 acre lot, barn, workshop, garden, and play area. She reportedly plays well with the grand kids and is a great companion dog for the retired gentlemen who opened his heart to this loving dog after the death of his wife. We kept one of Shy's daughters (see Evie on the female page 1) because she was the type of dog that did it all with willingness, little training, all done with a flare.
Lilly AKC (2005-2007)

Lilly came to us as an adult. Her pedigree was star studded and she was just what we were looking for to bring into our breeding program. Her grandpa was ##Wisp, and many other sheep dog champions. Lilly loved being a mother. She cared for her pups like no other dog I have ever seen. Lilly was owned by a gal that was kicked out of ABCA just weeks before we had purchased Lilly which we did not learn about until after we had received an AKC registration months after Lilly had arrived. She was a good herding dog who had lived a hard life prior to coming to our home. Alas Lilly came with a noise phobia, one day a loud noise occurred while Lilly was out of her kennel which frightened her, she cleared the livestock fence, running into the road just in front of a speeding pickup. That day we started building a second fence between the dogs and the road then later a third fence around the kennel area to stop another Lilly from being lost too early in life. Now you know why when you come to visit there are gates at the road, into the dog area, and around the farm because losing a dog is not an event to repeat.
When you visit us you will note there are gates and fences around the place. The 6 foot cyclone fence was here when we purchase the property but we put up the gates and fences to help keep from losing another dog to the road way. We are not trying to keep people out in so much as we are trying to keep dogs in however when you do visit please let us know ahead of time so we can be there to open the gates for you or at least have all the dogs put away out of the front. We try and let the dogs run and use the sectioned off areas as group run areas. Keeping like groups with like groups as in some dogs run better without other dogs in that group.
Gracie ABCA (2007-2009)

Gracie registered ABCA from cow dog lines. She was small, quick, eager to work. Born spring 2007. Gracie worked endlessly, would recharge a few minutes than was ready to go again. Black and white traditional markings with short coat. Gracie was really a wash and wear dog when it came to keeping cleaning. Each day at meal time she would greet us with her own special sound of greeting while she lowered her head to the side and looked up at you when she was really happy to see you with a sparkle in her eye. She was always ready to get in and work where when ever we ask her to go. Gracie adored going for rides. She was my dog of choice when a quick move of livestock was needed. She stuck like glue to me in the house or in the car. I loved Gracie's little howl growl talk when she was happy to see you, she was not a pretty matching equally marked dog by any means, yet I deeply loved and miss this dog for her heart and skill. Gracie was lost to us in a accident that struck us hard. We are thankful for the time we had this gal in our lives. Gracie was bred by Josh Clark of Josh Clark Stock Dogs out of Eugene, Oregon.
